About Amaranth Beauty

Amaranth Beauty is dedicated to the self expression, art and sheer fun of makeup and beauty products without breaking the bank! I believe it is possible to look great, explore cosmetics, and purchase quality items without having to spend a ton of money. I created this blog to blend two of my biggest loves: writing and beauty. I hope to reach my fellow “beauty-nistas”, as I like to call them, and help them explore affordable products and get useful tips from another beauty junkie just like them. Keep reading and click around for product reviews, ideas, tips, lists, color combos, beauty looks and more. I’d really love if you all would read my first post, entitled Adoration, to see more about my views on the correlation between money and beauty and my hopes for my blog. Share your comments and thoughts but remember you get what you give, so give love whenever possible! Most of all, I appreciate every one of you and thank you for taking the time to check out Amaranth Beauty…a beauty and lifestyle blog for the budget conscious and fabulous!

About Me

I’m 23 years old and live in Pennsylvania with my handsome husband and beautiful labrador-husky rescue puppy. I love to write and I graduated from college with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing. Amaranth Beauty combines my love for writing with my love for beauty products and make up.

I also love yoga, shopping, hiking, camping, reading, movies, James Dean, playing with my dog, running, and working out. My favorite things besides make up products are neon colors, pretty journals, knee socks, soft clothes, distressed jeans, campy horror films, Jack Skellington, tattoos, piercings, lively discussions and excessive amounts of coffee.

I’ve been in love with beauty and the whole getting ready process since I was a child watching my gorgeous gram curl her hair, swipe on plum lipstick, and coat her lashes with mascara. I was captivated, and it’s only grown since then! I’ve been painting my nails since I was a child and perfecting my smokey eye since I was 13. I’m a sucker for glossy magazines and even if I don’t buy anything, I love browsing the beauty aisles and seeing all the beautiful products. Make up is by far not the most important in the world…but why shouldn’t we enjoy the thing we love, right? There are few feelings which match the satisfaction of sharing a great beauty tip with a friend, coworker, or hey–even a stranger. ❤
